I started an on-line inquiry stating that iwas only interested in the Arctic Blue 2011 Nissan Versa Hatchback. I was promised it was in stock; was quoted a price of $14,500. I called Friday at 6 to make sure it was still on the lot (they would not take a credit card over the phone to hold it for me). I was assured it was still there. I drove from Staten Island to a friend's in Long Island (1 1/2 hours) we then traveled another hour to the dealer in West Islip. We were pounced on before even getting in the door. I told the salesman about the on line negotiation and that I was only interested inthe Artic Blue. he insisted we go for a test drive - fine, I like the car, i did ny homework. He comes back after checking my "account" with an offer of 16,800 and wants to know how I came up with $14,500. I show him the email. He huffs and puffs and walks to the manager. He says he will honor the $14,500. I say i want the Artic Blue; he says he sold it yesterday; I say I'm leaving. Manager comes over and says he has not had the Arctic Blue on the lot for over a month; I say "well someone should tell your internet people that, and *** did Larry sell it yesterday??? I get the "well since you're already here B.S!. and I say, if you don't have the color I am buying closer to home:. Manager askes what he can do to "help" me.. I say "make me an offer"'. After another lengthy huddle laryy come back and says we'll take of $200?. I pack up my homework / research and say no thanks.. Larry throws his papers on the desk and says "well good luck":. I'm trying to call the internet sales person, and what a surprise, no answer. 35b22ea

I am SO happy you walked away. People usually feel pressured and bullied into getting cars.
